Ahhh The Philippines! I mentioned here that I went to the Philippines at the end of March/early April for ten amazing sunshine-filled days. Philippines is the land of 7,107 islands, yes you read that right! Rumor has it that they’ve recently discovered more islands. My international flight arrived into Manila and then caught a domestic flight into Coron, Palawan. I spent a few days here before hopping over to Boracay. My next post will talk about how I chose where to go and what I did (for the benefit of anyone planning to go out there).
This post is all about the pictures though….. so here we go!
Coron, Palawan
This propeller plane on Philippine Airlines that brought us on the short flight from Manila to Coron
Mount Tapyas offers one of the most spectacular views of Coron Island. The sweaty hike was worth it.
Manquinit hotspring, Coron. Just before my phone fell off the selfie stick and into the water
Boats parked at the twin lagoon on my Coron Island tour. These boats are locally made and are strong and well made.
With new friends at our lunch stop on Beach 91.
One of my favorites! Our boat docked at Bulog Dos Island after one heck of a stormy ride on my island escapade tour
Checking out Bulog Dos Island with a new friend
Who would you walk with when you have an Island to yourself?
Coconut and chill on Malcapuya Island!
Dinner with the hostel crew during my last night in Coron. Great thing about hanging with locals, they chose amazing dishes
Boracay
Young men make several of these signs from sand daily along the stretch of White Beach in Boracay
Boracay’s sunsets on White Beach are world-famous and they delivered
Relaxing on the more secluded Balinghai Beach in Boracay
Another shot from Balinghai Beach
I realized that I have so many beach pictures from this trip, but I guess it makes sense as I was island hopping. Have you been to the Philippines or is it in your list? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
These photos are gorgeous Dee!!! I love that Boracay sign.. & I’ve got the black colour of your shorts. Hehehee.
Wish I could fit into your suitcase on your trips!
Thank you ma’am, I’m glad you like the pictures!!! These shorts are great since I’m shy on the beach haha but they’re like a uniform now I probably wear them too much. #greatminds! My suitcase has plenty space for you….but no need for suitcase when you can sit next to me in first class (Amennnn, I claim it!!!)
