Hey Friend,

I’m Dee—global professional by day, explorer by passion, and collector of adventures (and fabulous heels). With a Nigerian passport, I’ve lived on four continents, visited nearly 70 countries, and now call Tokyo home as I’ve taken on a 3-year work assignment as a Senior Executive.

Through years of navigating visa hurdles, solo and group travels, corporate cultures, and cultural transitions, I’ve learned how to turn challenges into stepping stones—and I’m here to share it all.

A little about me

I love a good nap, solo time, and journaling my week’s highlights over matcha lattes at Tokyo cafés. I rarely watch TV (and almost always fall asleep when I do—my friends hate it!), but I’m a podcast junkie. I’m passionate about my faith, smashing glass ceilings in Corporate America, and helping women live boldly, all while curating a life filled with love, purpose, and adventure.
While my travel style has evolved, one thing hasn’t: my love for exploring the world, whether solo or with my close-knit circle. I embrace romantic solo getaways (future Bae will join someday!) and always seek pockets of joy, even in the everyday.

I’m pretty open about not having life all figured out. When I’m not travelling, I’m quite the homebody and I enjoy spending time and dancing with my small circle of close friends.

I’m all about living a full rich life, in ways that are meaningful to me.

This space was born out of my journey—15 years ago, I was dreaming of excelling at a global career and building a life of adventure. Today, I’m here to help others take their first step.

How It All Started

February 2010: On a wintry afternoon in Minneapolis, as a new associate, I was sitting in a conference room, eating the lunch I’d brought in. Over lunch, I decided to read travel blogs as I usually did. They were  my window into parts of the world I’d never seen (which was pretty much the whole world at the time, let’s keep it real). Then, I saw a picture of Cappadocia, Turkey and I read the blog post/article. Ten minutes later, I said out loud to my manager, “I have to see this place with my own eyes.”

July 24th 2010: Backpack strapped, I set off (solo) on my first trip to Turkey and Greece for 2 weeks!! My family may have been a little concerned! We didn’t know anyone in these places, and no one in my world was a traveller. Over the past 15 years: I’ve built a great career in a competitive field at a global firm, and I have travelled extensively. An encounter on that first trip would plant the seed for this platform.

Through years of navigating visa hurdles, solo and group travels, corporate cultures, and cultural transitions, I’ve learned how to turn challenges into stepping stones—and I’m here to share it all.
