Chances are, if you ask me to suggest a beach destination in Europe I’ll mention Croatia as an option. Why? I think its underrated and listed some reasons in my post here where I suggested some underrated destinations (based on my experience). In September 2017, I spent 5 days between Dubrovnik and Split, with a day trip to Mostar (Bosnia & Herzegovina) snuck in too!
Today, I’m sharing a photo essay from my time there!
A photo op stop on a Walk of Dubrovnik’s ancient city walls
Aren’t these views amazing?
I don’t recall the name of the town, but it was a stop on the day trip from Croatia to Mostar in Bosnia & Herzegovina. We took a short hike and were rewarded with these views!
I love bold/colourful leather bags and there were plenty to choose from on the streets of Mostar
Stari Most means Old Bridge and it is an iconic landmark in Mostar (Bosnia and Herzegovina). The Old Bridge stood for 427 years, until it was destroyed on 9 November 1993 during the war. It is considered an exemplary piece of Balkan Islamic architecture.

An amazing meal I had in Split, Croatia
Plitvice Lakes National Park is one of the oldest and largest national parks in Croatia. It is stunning and makes a great day trip from Split.
Images from Plitvice Lakes are some of the first pictures of Croatia I ever saw. So many beautiful waterfalls
